Siva Afi Aotearoa

Siva Afi & Drumming Workshops

Our Siva Afi workshops provide a sense of purpose and empowerment

Each term we hold a series of Siva Afi workshops to teach the traditional Samoan Siva Afi (fire knife dance) art form. Each series includes eight free workshops held at various locations around Auckland.

Open to all ages from 5yrs+ and welcoming everyone in the community, regardless of cultural and religious affiliations, abilities or gender, our workshops are a safe space to learn and thrive. Each series provides an opportunity to either be introduced to or develop what has previously been learnt. Meeting other performers and creating friendships is also an important part of the workshops.

On completion of the workshop series, those who are interested will have the opportunity to take part in a public performance of Siva Afi.

Siva Afi to the Regions – if you are interested in us bringing to your region either Siva Afi workshops (schools and community) or Siva Afi to your event or projects please let us know by emailing contact@polynesianentertainers.com
